Collection: Object from Nothing

Founded by Jacob Schlater and Meridith Shook in Cincinnati in 2021, Object From Nothing is an upcycling studio that transforms discarded materials into lasting, intentional products. The brand’s ethos focuses on generating repurposed pieces from what remains: faded jeans panels, forgotten zippers, and textile scraps most would overlook.

Now based in Los Angeles, the studio practices modern American craft as a form of rebellion against waste and mass production, adding value where value was lost through resourcefulness and adaptive design. Notable brand practices include repurposing change (dimes, nickels, pennies) into buttons and collecting construction materials that are then reinvented into accessories or detailing for various garments.
