DETAILS
“Kurumi” is made from bleach-finished Kashiko fabric and hand-dyed using kakishibu (persimmon tannin) and walnut husk to create a muted, vintage black tone.
The dyeing process combines indigo base fading with natural dyes applied by hand. As a result, each piece has slight variation in tone and surface texture.
Kashiko is a 12oz fabric combining kasuri and sashiko weaving techniques, producing a soft drape with a structured feel. The warp uses indigo-dyed yarn, while the weft uses gradient kasuri yarn for texture and depth.
Due to natural dyeing and finishing, the fabric may feel slightly stiff at first but softens with wear.
CARE
Wash cold and inside out. Avoid high heat drying. Light color transfer or odor may occur initially due to natural dyeing and will reduce after washing. Minor shrinkage (up to 1cm) may occur over time.
