DETAILS
Loose fit 5-pocket work pants made from 12oz 100% cotton Japanese "Kashiko" fabric with a vintage treatment referencing months of natural wear and aging. The indigo is inspired by 1970s denim and will continue to develop a more vintage character over time.
"Kashiko" is an original fabric — a portmanteau of "Kasuri" and "Sashiko" — woven using Kasuri yarn in the Sashiko technique. The warp uses indigo yarn produced on spinning machines from the 1970s to recreate the era's characteristic color, while the weft uses Kasuri yarn with a gradient of approximately six tones ranging from white to black. The result is a 12oz fabric with a natural drape and comfortable feel.
Kasuri is a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique dating back to the Ryukyu Kingdom in the 12th or 13th century, later spreading throughout mainland Japan in the 17th century. Finished with Japanese-made twill lining, UJ threads, Japanese buttons and rivets, and Kansai Special hemming.
CARE
Machine wash cold separately. Avoid high heat drying. Frequent washing or tumble drying may result in up to 1cm of additional shrinkage over time.
