Loose fit 5-pocket pants made from 11.4oz 100% cotton Japanese sashiko fabric. The fabric is woven using undyed spun cotton yarn, then garment dyed by hand using multiple natural dye materials including fermented persimmon tannin, indigo, onion, quebracho, and acacia. Repeated overdyeing creates layered tones and natural variation throughout the fabric, making each pair unique.
Sashiko fabric is inspired by traditional Japanese stitching techniques and offers a soft hand feel with textured surface detail and comfortable drape. Finished with Japanese-made twill lining, threads, buttons, rivets, and Kansai Special hemming.
Due to the hand-dyeing process, color variation, uneven tones, and subtle differences between garments are expected. Some natural dye scent or color transfer may occur initially and will lessen with light washing.
CARE
Machine wash cold separately. Avoid high heat drying. Frequent washing or tumble drying may result in up to 1cm of additional shrinkage over time.
