Shunko Straight Pants - Indigo

DETAILS

The “Shunko” fabric is constructed with super heavy slub yarns featuring extreme variations in thickness, creating a highly irregular texture and pronounced surface character. Different yarn counts are used in the warp and weft to enhance depth and texture throughout the 13.6oz denim. Woven at low tension, the fabric develops a softer feel and more defined texture with wear over time.

Due to the uneven nature of the fabric, the weaving process is highly demanding and completed by experienced craftsmen. More than 20 different types of sewing threads are used throughout the garment, selected specifically for each construction detail to create varied aging characteristics over time. Made with 100% Japanese cotton denim, Japanese cotton twill, Japanese-made threads, and Japanese-made buttons and rivets. Features a five-pocket construction, straight fit, indigo finish, and Union Special 43200G chain-stitched hemming.

CARE

The denim has been washed to reduce initial shrinkage, though additional shrinkage of approximately 2–3cm may occur depending on washing and drying conditions. High heat washing or tumble drying may increase shrinkage. Because the fabric is based on unsanforized denim, the fit may feel snug initially but will gradually soften and stretch with wear. Machine wash cold and hang dry recommended.

SIZING

Measurements are taken flat in centimeters and may vary by approximately 1–2cm depending on the measuring method. Due to the characteristics of the fabric, slight variations in length may occur between individual garments.
